Custom FootageHere's a Catch 22... how can you get the role in that next big film without having any quality footage to show the casting director? Ok, so how do you get footage for your reel if you can't be cast (because you don't have any footage).
Conundrum solved! At Hangar B Studios, we can craft your acting reel from the ground up, regardless of whether or not you already have footage. We build, shoot, and edit scenes to deliberately showcase certain emotions and situations. This way, your reel is tailored to give you the best chance at landing the roles you want. |

Reel Production FAQ
How do I book a reel consult? Send us an email and introduce yourself. We will coordinate with you personally and find a time slot that works. What happens at a reel consult? A reel consult usually takes around 30 minutes. It's a great way for the team to get to know you and for you to tell us your ideas for your reel. Through some discussion, we can discover what kind of scenes will showcase you in the best way. We will also talk logistics such as quantity, pricing, and tentative scheduling. What can I do to be prepared for a reel consult? To be better prepared for the consult, please come in with a clear and realistic idea of what types of roles you are suited for so that your scenes can reflect you in the most marketable way possible. If you already have material, have that ready to show us as well and we can provide an objective eye about what scenes might work for you personally. Do you have actors to pair up with for scenes? Yes. We have actors in-house as well as a roster of actors from within the community that we can collaborate with to make sure your scene partner matches your scene. Can I use a friend as a scene partner? Yes. While we recommend using an experienced actor that fits the setting and circumstances, it is ultimately your decision on who you'd like to work with. |
Do you write the scenes? Yes. Based on the consult, our team writes your scene(s) to be tailored specifically for you and the image you would like to portray. How long is each reel scene? Each reel scene is typically between 20 and 40 seconds long. The goal is to keep casting directors engaged and show them multiple looks in a short period of time. Have your clients had success in booking auditions? Yes! We have had several clients book roles in feature films using our reels. Can I write my own scenes? Yes. We recommend that the scene be between 1/2 page and 1 full page in length. What should I wear for my scenes? Every scene varies. You will need to provide your own wardrobe for your scenes in most cases, but we provide insight as to clothing that will suit the setting and situation. |
